What We’re Working On This Week: May 31- June 4
The First Graders completed these fish right before the end of the school year. I am so proud of my students!
Pre-K This week the Pre-K friends will learn about Georges Seurat. Seurat was a French painter. His most famous painting is Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grand Jatte. This painting is an example of Pointillism- a painting technique in which the artist paints using tiny dots on the canvas, allowing the viewer’s eyes to blend the colors, rather than blending them on the canvas. The Pre-K students will use markers this week to create a pointillist dot design.
Preppers The Prepper students will also view Seurat’s work this week. They will use the dotter stamps to create a dot painiting.
Pre-Preppers The Pre-Prepper students will work on a tissue paper collage this week. Once dry, we will add a glitter painting to the work.
